Golf is played between the ears and through the body — a sport with high demands, both mentally and physically. Generic range reps won’t unlock the next handicap drop, and strength work alone won’t fix a move that breaks down at impact. Our method attacks from six angles at once.
Ty is the head trainer and founder of Matryx. A two-sport collegiate athlete in wrestling and football before studying Athletic Training at King’s College, he’s spent nearly 11 years and more than 20,000 floor-hours coaching over a thousand athletes — including NFL Pro Bowlers, NBA pros, Olympic-level, and National Champion athletes.
On the golf side, Ty brings the physical side of the system: TPI-aligned strength programming, mobility work, and conditioning blocks personally designed to match each golfer’s screen. The body sets the ceiling. Ty’s job is to raise it.
Kevin was a three-sport athlete, competing in baseball, basketball, and golf — which helped build the athletic foundation and competitive mindset he brings to coaching today. As a certified Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) professional, Kevin specializes in helping golfers move better, swing more efficiently, and perform at a higher level.
Over the past six seasons as a PGA Professional, Kevin has worked with hundreds of golfers of all ages and skill levels — from beginners learning the fundamentals to competitive players looking to perform at the highest levels. His approach combines golf instruction with a strong focus on mobility, strength, and body mechanics to unlock each player’s full potential.
At Matryx Performance, my goal is to provide individualized training that not only improves performance on the course but also builds confidence and longevity in the game. By blending TPI principles with real-world coaching experience, I want to help golfers play better, feel better, and enjoy the game at a higher level.
Rotation, hip drive, and stack strength are programmed specifically for golf — built to translate into clubhead speed, more consistent contact, and a swing that holds its shape late in the round. No generic gym work. Every block ties to a TPI screen and a performance number we’re chasing.
